tockholm’s foremost purveyors of sonic devastation\, God Mother\, have
officially announced their third full-length album\, Köttvärld\, releas
ed on 25 September. Following the chaotic mental landscapes of their prev
ious EP Sinneseld\, Köttvärld bursts forcefully into the “flesh world
”. The album offers a visceral exploration of identity\, purpose and th
e dissolution of the self in an increasingly digital world – a world th
at steers the attention of Stone Age humans to advance AI agendas and exp
loit the many for the benefit of the few. Köttvärld stands in oppositio
n to the view of humans as mere resources\, instead reclaiming the self b
y embracing the raw power of a being driven by emotion\, senses and nerve
 s. Musically\, the album broadens its expression to a wider spectrum of s
ounds without sacrificing God Mother’s characteristically abrasive\, hi
gh-intensity approach. Listeners can expect a deeper dive into grindcore\
, punk\, sludge and death metal.\n\nSvart samtid The opposite of Neuropel
tika is spelt Svart samtid. Sweden’s only pro-psychotic sonic onslaught
band mixes fast d-beat and too much distortion with grinding riffs and a
  generally invasive atmosphere.\n\nYes\, it’s gruelling. Yes\, it’s w
 orth it.\n\nStockholm’s on…
