SUMMARY:Joel Alme
LOCATION:Södra Teaterns Stora Scen\, Mosebacke Torg 1-3\, 116 46 Stockho

DESCRIPTION:Joel Alme is heading out on a solo tour this spring!\n\nThis
summer\, Joel Alme played his biggest concert ever on the main stage at W
ay Out West. Now it is time to do the opposite. After more than 250 gigs
with his loyal backing band\, Alme is embarking on a solo tour\, sharing
the stories behind the lyrics.\n\nThis is how the songs were written\, an
d this is how you will hear them\, says Joel Alme.\n\nAfter three critica
lly acclaimed albums in English\, Joel Alme made his major breakthrough w
ith the Swedish-language album Flyktligan in 2015. The album was a deeply
personal reckoning with his childhood and class background that both bro
adened Joel’s audience and earned standing ovations from the press. It
also marked the beginning of a new era in Alme’s songwriting and artist
ry.\n\nFlyktligan was followed by Bort Bort Bort (2019)\, Sköt er själv
a så sköter jag inte mitt (2022) and Gullmars Gospel (2026). Together\,
the four albums form a narrative woven from memories of a life that can
best be described as cinematic in its epic sweep. Although Joel Alme’s
own experiences lie at its heart\, this collection of songs is just as mu
ch about the lives of the people around him and the places that belong to
them.\n\nThese are the very stories that take centre stage as Joel strip
s his songs down to their bare essentials.\n\nThe connections between the
songs emerge. The stories behind the lyrics are told. A concert with Joe
l Alme is always an emotionally powerful experience. This time\, it will
 reach deepe…
