SUMMARY:Top Dogs – Delbert McClinton Tribute
LOCATION:Scalateatern\, Wallingatan 32\, 111 24 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:TOP DOGS - tribute to Delbert McClinton\n\nTop Dogs formed in
2010 as a trio\, but soon expanded to a quartet. They honed their live c
hops and built something of a reputation over a couple of years as the ho
use band at Nalen Bar in Stockholm.\n\nTheir repertoire featured blues an
d a generous dose of southern soul. Alongside gigs in their own right\, t
hey also began working as a backing band for touring American artists.\n\
nTo date\, Top Dogs have collaborated with over twenty fantastic artists
in Europe and are currently performing their hit production “American L
adies in the House”\, featuring Annika Chambers\, Lady A\, Terrie Odabi
\, Dawn Tyler Watson\, Shakira SÌada and Thornetta Davis.\n\nOne artist
we have never had the chance to work with\, but whose songs we have alway
s played\, is Delbert McClinton. A singer\, musician and songwriter from
 Texas\, drawing on blues\, country\, soul\, rock’n’roll and Americana
 \, he is also a favourite of our singer\, Sverker Blomberg.\n\nIn 2026\,
we thought we’d do… whatever the hell we want\, and we settled on a t
ribute show featuring Delbert’s songs. We promise a show with songs roo
ted in and around the blues tradition\, with lyrics like little short sto
ries\, and… a hell of a lot of energy from the first note to the last.\
n\nWe are Sverker Blomberg\, vocals and guitar\, Erik Möbeln Pettersson\
, keyboards and backing vocals\, Thomas Lingman and Patrik Norrman\, bass
\, with guest Bosse Gustavsson on saxophone and backing vocals.
