SUMMARY:Doggerland – 35 mm
LOCATION:Bio Skandia\, Drottninggatan 82\, 111 36 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:Bio Skandia\, in collaboration with Filmform\, is excited and
proud to present a unique screening of Kim Ekberg’s Doggerland\, the o
nly Swedish film from this year to be shown on 35mm!\n\nhttps://www.filmf
orm.com/\n\nFollowing screenings at the Berlin film festival and Bergmanv
eckan\, Doggerland has become particularly relevant to the current cultur
al debate. With a personal focus on the conditions of everyday life in hi
s home town of Norrköping\, Ekberg offers nuanced and moving perspective
s on the role of culture in society.\n\nThrough both its setting and the
 real-life mother–son relationship between the film’s main characters\
, Alf and Monika\, Doggerland also raises thought-provoking questions abo
ut the boundary between reality and fiction. In the director’s own word
s\, the story of Alf and Monika is a modernised echo of the classic socia
l democratic slogan ‘everyone should be included’.\n\nThe film will b
e followed by an on-stage discussion\, as well as music and mingling in B
ar Lido.\n\nA warm welcome to an evening focusing on analogue film in the
context of contemporary culture!\n\nDirector: Kim Ekberg\n\nCast: John H
 olm\, Anita Holm\, Roger Carlsson\, Kalle Thuleman\, Astrid Drettner\, Lo
tta Bäck-Vogel\, Marcos Fuenzalida\, Ilya Wikström\, Hannah Wiker Wikst
 röm\, Martin Grennberger\, Stefan Ramstedt\, Jan Lindqvist\n\nRunning ti
 me: 76 min\n\nLanguage: Swedish\n\nSubtitles: English\n\nAge rating: Suit
 able for all ages
