DESCRIPTION:Culture’s contribution to the peace process in the Middle E
 ast is a significant force in efforts to foster mutual understanding betw
 een Jews and Palestinians. However\, these activities are easily drowned 
 out by the clamour of war\, protests and demonstrations. The village of W
 ahat al-Salam/Neve Shalom (Fredens Oas)\, situated halfway between Tel Av
 iv and Jerusalem\, was founded in the 1970s by Jews and Palestinians who 
 voluntarily chose to live there. A binational school for compulsory educa
 tion and Skola för Fred for adult education have been established there.
  Since then\, many children and adults have received long-term education 
 in coexistence and cooperation across ethnic boundaries.\n\nTwo of the le
 aders of Skolan för Fred\, Sigalit Warshawski and Maisoon Badawi\, are c
 oming to Stockholm with 10 of their current and former students to presen
 t the school’s work\, the methods of dialogue-based education they have
  developed and the significance of the school once students have returned
  to their professional roles.\n\nThe discussion is moderated by Ricki Neu
