 …\n\nHorse Lords formed in Baltimore in 2010\, emerging from the experi
 mental collective Teeth Mountain. They began as a trio comprising drummer
  Sam Haberman\, guitarist Owen Gardner and bassist Max Eilbacher\, but so
 on added alto saxophonist Andrew Bernstein to complete the permanent line
 -up. Although Horse Lords have their roots in Baltimore’s fertile noise
  and leftfield rock scene – a storied environment for artists and eccen
 trics that has nurtured many influential outsider bands (Lungfish\, Matmo
 s) – their musical approach is more varied than the pointillistic rhyth
 ms of their instrumental electric rock might suggest.\n\nOver sixteen yea
 rs of extensive touring\, Horse Lords have released ten studio\, live and
  collaborative albums\, alongside a split EP with fellow Baltimore band L
 ower Dens\, a number of singles and tracks on compilations. For RVNG’s 
 FRKWYS series\, the band collaborated with Berlin-based composer Arnold D
 reyblatt\, a former student of La Monte Young and Pauline Oliveros\, whos
 e chamber music in just intonation was an important part of the post-Flux
 us scene in downtown New York.\n\nWith three of the four members relocati
