 ger than life\, Newkid is now doing something new: getting closer.\n\nOn 
 25–26 September\, he plays two sold-out "Akust-ish" concerts at Södra 
 Teatern – two evenings where the songs\, the stories and the emotion to
 ok centre stage. Now he is taking the concept further\, heading out on to
 ur across the country this spring.\n\n– "The setting isn't entirely aco
 ustic\, but ish\," says Newkid himself about the format.\n\nAnd perhaps t
 hat is precisely the essence of it. A stripped-back stage presentation th
 at retains the music's energy and grandeur – a space where the songs ca
 n breathe in a new way\, and where the audience gets closer to both the m
 usic and the person behind it.\n\nWith over 15 years of music behind him\
 , Newkid now invites audiences to a more personal encounter. From early h
 ip-hop and R&B influences to the big pop songs that have been streamed ov
 er half a billion times – the music takes on a new form: intimate\, vul
 nerable and honest.\n\nHe is also currently promoting the EP Powerballade
 r\, released earlier this spring\, on which he continues to explore power
 ful emotions\, strong melodies and stories of love\, doubt and finding a
