LOCATION:Stora Scen\, Barnhusgatan 12-14\, Barnhusgatan 12-14\, 11124 Sto
 ckholm
DESCRIPTION:Post Orientalist Express – a journey in colour\, humour and
full speed.\n\nPost-Orientalist Express is far from a traditional dance
performance: South Korean choreographer and dancer Eun-Me Ahn weaves toge
ther the pulse and club feel of pop culture with traditional Asian dance.
 \n\nThe result is wild\, fast-paced and humorous.\n\nA high-octane experi
ence that challenges Western stereotypes of East Asia.\n\nShe seeks a new
cultural identity that can serve as a bridge between the traditional and
the modern.\n\nThrough costumes\, music and pop culture\, clichés are c
onfronted and exaggerated to the point of absurdity\, highlighting the co
ntradictions.\n\nShe takes to the stage alongside 14 dancers.\n\nThere ar
e many costume changes\, and the set design is dazzling.\n\nThe challenge
is to keep up.\n\nPost-Orientalist Express is perfect for anyone who wan
ts to experience powerful performing arts\, where deep seriousness meets
an unabashed celebration in all its colours.\n\nRunning time: 80 min.
