SUMMARY:ViVii
LOCATION:Debaser Nova\, Hornstulls strand\, 11739 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:ViVii have long been one of Sweden’s best-kept musical secr
ets. They are a band who have hovered just outside the brightest spotligh
t\, yet over several years have built a much larger audience far beyond S
weden’s borders. With millions of streams worldwide\, praise from the i
nternational music press – and having supported acts including Alt-J
 – Caroline Jonsson\, Emil Jonsson and Anders Eckeborn have created a so
und entirely their own. Now they are releasing their third album and head
ing out on a tour that reaches Stockholm and Debaser in March.\n\nViVii m
ade their debut in 2018 and quickly established themselves on the interna
tional scene. Influential outlets such as BBC6\, Line of Best Fit and Won
derland heaped praise on them\, while tours with acts including Alt-J fur
ther raised their profile. ViVii’s dreamy pop has been mentioned in the
same breath as artists such as Lana Del Rey\, Sufjan Stevens and Beach H
ouse\, while the music is just as deeply rooted in a down-to-earth Swedis
 h context.\n\nViVii’s forthcoming third album\, “I thought I would be
somewhere else by now”\, is out on 29 January 2027. The new album cont
ains every emotional state at once. The enthusiasm of making music again
meets the inspiration that comes from doing so in a new way. The dark the
mes and desperation that repeatedly shine through ultimately give way to
a faintly hopeful nod towards the future. And we hear a band that has rei
nvented itself and emerged on the other side better than ever.\n\nAged 20
