DESCRIPTION:You might be tempted to describe The Deep Dark Woods as a ban
 d deeply rooted in Tradition with a capital T – and there is certainly 
 some truth to that. But after almost two decades as one of Canada’s lea
 ding folk and roots bands\, they have in fact created a tradition entirel
 y their own.\n\nAt the heart of it all is founder Ryan Boldt\, whose emot
 ive\, nuanced voice brings to mind greats such as Bob Dylan\, Bert Jansch
 \, Rick Danko and Jason Molina. Together with his band\, he has shaped a 
 sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably his own. The music also b
 ears traces of acts such as The Band\, Wilco and Grateful Dead\, as well 
 as British folk icons Fairport Convention and Pentangle.\n\nFollowing the
  well-received Broadside Ballads\, Vol. III from 2024 – on which the ba
 nd interprets traditional Irish\, English and Scottish folk songs with ta
 steful arrangements and an organic sound – The Deep Dark Woods now retu
 rn with another collection of original music: The Circle Remains. The alb
 um will be followed by tours of Great Britain\, Canada and Europe\, with 
 a stop at Debaser Nova on 14 October. You’ll want to be there.\n\n18+ (
