 eir living conditions to new climatic conditions. Can past transitions of
 fer insights into the challenges now shaping our future as a result of hu
 man-driven climate change?\n\nIn his book Klimatet och människan under 1
 2 000 år\, Fredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist offers historical perspectives
  on how climate change has shaped societies and historical events. Mats V
 änehem’s book Istider och värmeböljor som format vår historia is an
  illustrated work on the same theme\, in a format that encourages convers
 ations across generations about how we can create a sustainable society. 
 The programme includes a lecture each by Fredrik and Mats\, followed by a
  joint discussion in which the audience will have the opportunity to ask 
 questions.\n\nFredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist is Professor of History\, wi
 th a particular focus on historical geography\, and holds the title of do
 cent in physical geography at Stockholms universitet.\n\nMats Vänehem is
  an archaeologist\, illustrator and author of several books for young peo
 ple about history and archaeology.
