DESCRIPTION:Jasmine is one of the most iconic flowers in the perfume indu
 stry\, with a rich history stretching from antiquity to the present day. 
 Two varieties are used in the perfume industry\, Jasminum grandiflorum an
 d Jasminum sambac\, whose sensual\, full-bodied scent has been used to en
 hance everything from religious ceremonies in India to perfumes in the Eu
 ropean perfume industry.\n\nIn this lecture\, you will learn about the hi
 story of jasmine\, as well as how it is grown and used in the perfume ind
 ustry. In collaboration with the world-leading raw material producers Lab
 oratoire Monique Rémy and IFF\, we will smell both raw materials and iso
 lated fragrance molecules\, alongside a selection of contemporary perfume
  interpretations from Nordiska Kompaniet.\n\nVictor Langer is an art and 
 perfume historian who has previously lectured at Nationalmuseum\, Beckman
 s designhögskola and Lunds universitet\, among others.
