SUMMARY:Olga Myko
LOCATION:Debaser Nova\, Hornstulls strand\, 11739 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:A year ago\, Olga Myko took to the stage at Debaser Alternati
ve with just two released songs under her belt. A year later\, she has am
assed over 66 million streams for her acclaimed debut EP WHEN A GIRL CRIE
S and been nominated for a Grammis in the Alternative Pop of the Year cat
egory.\n\nThe Swedish-Ukrainian artist and songwriter made her breakthrou
gh with the viral single “use me!!!!!!!”\, a raw and deeply personal
song that captivated listeners worldwide and gave many their first introd
uction to her music. Now it is time for the next chapter with the EP How
dare you tryna love me?\, in which Olga explores the journey from resista
nce and uncertainty to daring to accept love.\n\nBut she is not really a
newcomer. Olga Myko has long been a familiar name among music creators ar
ound the world. After years of songwriting\, studio sessions and collabor
ations with international artists\, she has now stepped into the spotligh
t herself.\n\nHer music brings together Baroque strings\, Slavic fairy ta
les and modern alternative pop. It is dark\, warm\, vulnerable and immedi
ate all at once. The music bears traces of her upbringing in a family whe
re classical music was always present\, but is filtered through a contemp
orary pop style that is entirely her own. With electronic production by S
ebastian Furrer\, Fanny Granström and Duvchi\, among others\, alongside
deeply personal lyrics and an unmistakably individual style\, Olga Myko h
as shown that she is far more than a viral phenomenon.
