SUMMARY:Josef Slunge
LOCATION:Debaser Strand\, Hornstulls strand 4\, 11739 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:A lot has happened since Josef Slunge last packed Bar Brookly
n to the rafters. Since then\, he has released “Zoey” with Håkan Hel
lström\, made guest appearances at concerts by both Hellström and Cleo\
, and continued to establish himself as one of the most exciting voices o
n Sweden’s new music scene.\n\nThis autumn\, he returns to Debaser with
a brand-new album under his belt.\n\nFew artists in Sweden today have fo
llowed their own inspiration as naturally as Josef Slunge. Just a few yea
rs into his career\, he has moved between different forms of expression a
nd formats without losing the essence of the storytelling that drives him
forward.\n\nHis debut album ikväll\, inatt\, men aldrig imorgon earned
 him attention from P3\, Aftonbladet\, Nöjesguiden\, Göteborgs-Posten an
d Gaffa\, among others. The mixtape “I LOVE YOU” followed\, before hi
s duet with Håkan Hellström brought his music to an even wider audience
.\n\nThe forthcoming album marks the beginning of a new chapter. Together
with Gustav Olea Aspenrot\, Slunge has developed a more organic\, band-b
ased sound\, with songs taking shape through collaboration and making mus
ic together. The result is music that feels more intimate\, rawer and mor
e alive\, centred on stories of relationships\, identity\, escape and bel
 onging.
