DESCRIPTION:Drottning Kristina – musik över Östersjön\n\nJoin us on 
 a musical journey to 17th-century Sweden and Finland – a time when the 
 two realms were united and culture\, people and music travelled freely ac
 ross the Baltic Sea.\n\nIn this concert\, Drottningholms barockensemble a
 nd Vasa Baroque come together in a programme inspired by the era of Queen
  Christina and the strong historical ties between Sweden and Finland. The
  concert forms part of the celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of 
 Vörå kyrka and will also be performed in Kristinestad and Tammerfors as
  part of a joint tour.\n\nThe music reflects the rich cultural world surr
 ounding Queen Christina – one of Sweden’s most fascinating monarchs 
 – and allows the audience to experience the expressive sounds of the Ba
 roque on period instruments. The programme weaves together music from the
  17th and early 18th centuries with stories of a shared history\, in whic
 h towns\, churches and courts on both sides of the Baltic Sea formed a vi
 brant cultural community.\n\nDrottningholms barockensemble has long worke
 d with historically informed performances and has collaborated closely wi
 th the Finnish ensemble Vasa Baroque for several years. The concert is th
 e result of this artistic exchange and offers a vibrant musical experienc
 e in which history\, culture and Baroque music come together.\n\nWelcome 
 to Riddarhuset for a concert that unites two countries through music –
