SUMMARY:Goodnight\, Texas
LOCATION:Debaser Nova\, Hornstulls strand\, 11739 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:Goodnight\, Texas are a hard-to-define folk-rock band with st
orytelling at their heart\, whose strength lies in unexpected meeting poi
nts. The band take their name from the real small town of Goodnight in Te
xas – the geographical midpoint between Pat and Avi's then homes in San
Francisco\, California and Chapel Hill\, North Carolina. The five-piece
band also sit midway between their songwriters' contrasting styles: via a
1913 Gibson A mandolin and a 2015 Danelectro Baritone guitar\, at the in
tersection of folk\, blues and rock'n'roll.\n\nA Google search will turn
up recent features in NME\, Rolling Stone\, No Depression and Consequence
of Sound\, as well as appearances at festivals such as Austin City Limit
s\, SXSW\, Red Wing Roots and Beachlife Ranch. Goodnight\, Texas have tou
red with artists such as The Dead South\, Larkin Poe\, Shakey Graves and
John Craigie. In 2020\, their song The Railroad was also used as the open
ing music for the first episode of Tiger King. Perhaps that was where you
first heard them.\n\nOn their latest album Signals\, the band take their
sound to even greater heights\, and on 5 December they come to Stockholm
for a gig at Debaser Nova.\n\nAges 20 and over (18 and over with an adva
 nce ticket)
