DESCRIPTION:Dea Matrona have gone from playing on the streets of Belfast 
 to establishing themselves as one of Ireland’s most talked-about new ro
 ck bands. The duo\, comprising Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe\, met 
 as teenagers in an Irish singing competition before they began playing to
 gether and building their career on their own terms.\n\nTheir debut album
 \, For Your Sins\, took them to number one on the Independent Breakers ch
 art\, led to performances at Glastonbury and a tour supporting The Beache
 s. In 2026\, they are also joining Sting on tour.\n\nOn 5 June\, they rel
 eased their second album\, Hate That I Care\, where classic rock meets in
 fluences from Fleetwood Mac and The Cranberries. The album explores ident
 ity\, alienation and female strength – themes that run through songwrit
 ing in which personal stories meet a distinctly contemporary perspective.
