DESCRIPTION:This lecture introduces you to women’s rights campaigner El
 len Key\, one of Sweden’s most pioneering thinkers.\n\nOn the shores of
  Lake Vättern in Östergötland\, new ideas about education\, democracy 
 and women’s emancipation are flourishing. Ideas that will shape an enti
 re century are taking form here. This is where we find Ellen Key\, a pion
 eer\, author and women’s rights campaigner. She argues for reforms that
  will make women financially independent\, and for a life with room for b
 oth ideas and the individual. With keen insight\, she connects women’s 
 right to knowledge with the growing opportunities in working life around 
 the turn of the 20th century.\n\nHedda Jansson\, a historian of religion 
 at Stockholm University\, portrays a visionary who changed perceptions of
  education\, society and women’s role.\n\nJoin us for an evening about 
 the struggle for women’s rights and a society in transition!\n\nThe lec
