DESCRIPTION:Tvådagarskurs: Lär dig väva i bandgrind\n\nWeaving bands w
 ith a rigid heddle is an ancient weaving method that has been and continu
 es to be practised around the world\, and extensively in various parts of
  Sappmí.\n\nThe technique involves stretching a narrow warp between the 
 weaver’s body and a fixed point\, for example on a wall. The band is th
 en woven using the rigid heddle.\n\nThe course begins with an introductio
 n to the history of the band heddle. You will learn how to set up the war
 p\, how to weave\, and how to plan and create simple patterns.\n\nYou wil
 l begin weaving a band and receive a band heddle to take home so that you
  can finish it.\n\nNo previous experience is required\, but some experien
 ce of textile crafts may be helpful.\n\nThe course runs over two days\, f
 rom 11.00–16.00 on both days\, with a lunch break.\n\nAll materials are
  included.
