 ckholm
DESCRIPTION:Poetic warmth and breathtaking energy as circus company Below
Zero takes to the stage\n\nIn Praise of Shadows is a tribute to the shad
ows within us as well as around us.\n\nAgainst a set that evokes mountain
s\, seas\, waves and a glacier\, seven acrobats move to newly composed fo
lk music performed live on stage. Whispering violins give way to drums an
d club beats. Haute couture catwalk sequences alternate with daring balan
cing acts and breakneck somersaults. Bodies are flung several metres into
the air to embody the power and fragility of nature as circus art takes
the form of stormy seas and sweeping treetops. A spectacular whole\, a tr
ibute to nature and an homage to imperfection.\n\nA family show featuring
dizzying acrobatics and newly composed live music. Circus company Below
Zero's In Praise of Shadows is a visual and physical storm described as w
 ild\, beautiful and unpredictable.\n\nRunning time: 60 min.\n\nRecommende
