SUMMARY:Moritz Ostruschnjak – NON + ULTRAS
LOCATION:Stora Scen\, Barnhusgatan 12-14\, Barnhusgatan 12-14\, 11124 Sto
 ckholm
DESCRIPTION:Chants\, flags\, flares and protests. Welcome to the unruly f
ootball terraces\, where supporter culture meets politics and collective
euphoria can tip into chaos at any moment.\n\nFootball chants fill the ro
om. A sea of supporters’ scarves bearing the names of clubs from every
corner of the world – the important\, the famous\, the absurd and the p
rovincial – is transformed into flags\, masks and a prayer mat. Step on
to the pulsating football terraces – a seething borderland where footba
ll culture\, political protest and popular culture collide.\n\nDrawing on
his background in graffiti and breakdance\, Ostruschnjak creates a physi
cal and visual whirlwind in NON + ULTRAS. Colourful\, loud and unpredicta
ble. Here\, Swifties meet ultras\, police riots meet mascots\, and Arabic
songs meet Beethoven. Unbridled celebration can turn into a riot in an i
nstant. The collective ecstasy balances on the fine line between an unpar
alleled sense of community and fanaticism.\n\nOstruschnjak takes us on a
journey through both euphoria and anxiety. Where joy and unease mingle in
a constantly shifting dynamic between group and individual\, silence and
  raucous turmoil.\n\nPerformance duration: 75 min.
