SUMMARY:Andersson Dance – ORE
LOCATION:Dansens Hus Blackbox\, Barnhusgatan 12-14\, 111 24 Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:In ORE\, Örjan Andersson takes landscape and nature as his s
tarting point to reflect on humanity’s relationship with its surroundin
gs and the changes they undergo.\n\nDrawing inspiration from the Romantic
artists Caspar David Friedrich\, J.M.W.\n\nTurner and Eugène Delacroix\
, the work explores both the grandeur of nature and humanity’s impact o
n it.\n\nThrough recordings by sound artist\, field recordist and compose
r BJ Nilsen\, the work travels between vastly different environments: fro
m the evocative mountain landscapes of Alpe Djouan to the dark mine tunne
ls in the Kirkenes massif\, where dust\, stone and industry shape both th
e landscape and living conditions.\n\nHere\, mining is in full swing in a
n entirely colourless world.\n\nThe dust lies heavy\, and only monochroma
tic shades of grey and black can be seen over the miners’ footprints.\n
\nIn set and lighting designer Chrisander Brun’s interpretation\, these
environments are transformed into artificial landscapes and spaces where
new stories can take shape.\n\nDuration: 60 min.\n\nABOUT ÖRJAN ANDERSS
