DIG - Stockholm Impro Festival 2016

?? READ MORE ABOUT DIG: http://www.impro.a.se/DIG/index.php ??

When Swedish summer is at its highest peak and the water surrounding the islands of Stockholm glitters, we invite you to take part in a unique international impro festival.

DIG is a festival where we focus on learning and offer a solid platform for exchange. Between the 9th and 14th of August we give you the possibility to come to Stockholm and deepen your impro skills. Our teachers will work hard to take you to the next level.

This festival is five days workshops with three teachers. The three teachers will dig into one stage skill each. The festival participants will be divided into three groups. Everyday the groups work with all three teachers, two hours each.

The festival has a theme that will drive the work, the theme is “HOME”. On the fifth day each group will put their work on stage in a one hour work in progress show. The workshops will take place at Stockholms Improvisationsteater from 10 am – 5.15 pm including a lunch break.

The main teachers are:

MARTA BORGES, Portugal
Marta is a professional actress and one of three members of the group Os Improváveis in Lisbon, Portugal.

RANDY DIXON, Seattle, USA
Randy is the artistic leader of Unexpected Productions in Seattle. He has been teaching improv all over the world for 30 years.

HELENA LINDEGREN, Stockholm, Sweden
Helena works as an improviser and teacher at Stockholms Improvisationsteater.

A more thorough description of the teachers and their workshops will follow soon.

???????????????????

The evenings of the festival will be a mix of masterclasses, open stage, impro debates and shows. One evening will be a Stockholm bus tour on the theme “HOME”. And of course, just hanging out at the theatre bar. Perhaps a night swim in the centre of Stockholm?

Before and after the festival we will offer longer workshops with the main teachers, and hopefully some other teachers as well.

We’re looking forward to this opportunity for the many expirienced improvisers of Stockholm to mix up with peers from all over the world. We hope you want to join us for a fun, interesting and challenging week with the opportunity to make new experiences, insights and friends!

???????????????????

We are currently working on practical issues such as accommodation, booking, costs and other details for the workshops and the festival in general. We will keep you updated as our work progresses. Save the date 9th-14th of August 2016 and follow this page for more info.

Any questions? Don´t hesitate to conact me at [email protected]
Talk to you soon!

/Per Gottfredsson, artistic director at DIG Festival
