Fuzz, melodic post-punk and crackling vinyl in Snövit’s basement Gothenburg groove meets the pop-tinged post-punk of the 1980s. Between and after the bands, vinyl will be spinning in the DJ booth. Come down, drink a perfect beer and dance until closing time!

Flared:

Speed flute. Fuzz. Swedish vocals. Three chords too many. A groove that smells of warm fitted carpet and an unreasonable number of ideas all at once? Someone has mentioned Made in Sweden, Atomic Swing and Led Zeppelin, but that might have been during a fever. It doesn’t really matter. Flared from Gothenburg aren’t particularly bothered. Everyone goes all out. No one holds back. It’s groovy. It’s wobbly. At times it’s unnecessary, but ... It usually works out.

Standard Unit:

From a trio to a full-scale post-punk machine. Standard Unit now have four people on stage – the last time we played, it was packed and sold out, so we took the opportunity to turn the volume up even further by bringing in a new member on synth and organ. With members from Yvonne and Stevepops, we deliver music that we hope sounds like the UK in 1979/1980. Think of the drive, darkness and melodies of The Jam and The Cure.
