Drottningholms Slottsområde was laid out during the 17th and 18th centuries and today comprises Drottningholms Slott, Kina Slott, Slottsteatern and Slottsparken. Drottningholms Slott, which is now used as a residence by the King and Queen, is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is the best-preserved palace surviving from its period. The public are welcome to visit the park grounds and the palace’s state apartments all year round, either independently or with a guide.
