Sjung för mig Arja! Sa Mikis

Arja Saijonmaa invites you to an evening that begins on the big screen and ends on stage. An evening for peace, freedom and democracy.

The documentary "Sjung för mig Arja!" (directed by Marko Talli) paints an intimate portrait of her life and her lifelong friendship with Mikis Theodorakis – told through private home videos and unique archive footage that few have seen before.

When the film ends after 90 minutes, Arja herself takes to the stage with a newly formed orchestra: Greece's two leading bouzouki virtuosos and elite Nordic musicians from Finland and Sweden.

In an hour-long live concert, she weaves together more than 50 years of music in a tribute to freedom, democracy and the belief that a song really can change the world. "Join in, sing with me – because a song once changed the world.

And dictatorships fall.

I know, because I've been there, several times.

A song can still change the world today," says Arja Saijonmaa.

The production is brought to you by Krall Entertainment, Mantaray Film and Yellow Film & TV, in collaboration with Läkare Utan Gränser, which receives 10% of the proceeds from each ticket without deductions.

It is time to sing songs!

This concert is for Peace, for Democracy, for Humanism.

For Freedom!

For our new and strong Europe!

For all of us!

Running time approx. 3 hours including an interval (film 1 hour 35 minutes, interval 25 minutes, concert 60 minutes)
