Ingrid Malmén

Ingrid Malmén is a vocalist and composer who has firmly established herself on the Swedish jazz scene with her unique sound, combining carefully crafted Swedish lyrics with bold, genre-defying compositions.

Malmén brings presence and an impressive vocal range to the music, with a special ability to connect closely with the listener.

With her fourth album being recorded in autumn 2026 and a release planned for spring 2027, she brings brand-new music to Nomad in a trio with fellow musicians Alice Hernqvist and Pär-Ola Landin.

Her latest album, Tidvatten, was released in 2023 and produced by Lina Nyberg. It was acclaimed by critics and named Vocal Jazz Album of the Year by Lira Musikmagasin. She has received several grants, including STIM (2025), a working grant from Konstnärsnämnden (2020 and 2024), Helge Ax:son Johnson (2024), and others.
