Westside Cowboy
Like Geese, Wunderhorse or Black Country, New Road? Then it’s time to discover Westside Cowboy. In just three years, Westside Cowboy have gone from a project among friends in Manchester – with no plans even to play live – to one of the UK’s most talked-about new bands.
On their debut album It Goes On, produced by Loren Humphrey (Geese, Wunderhorse), the quartet channel early rock ’n’ roll, post-punk and indie rock into something that feels both immediate and entirely their own.
Winning Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition was followed by tours with Black Country, New Road and Geese, and later this year the band will play their biggest headline shows to date. Their debut album It Goes On captures a band guided by intuition rather than a fixed plan – something they sum up themselves in the words: "There's no computer that could make It Goes On*.
With a sound that feels equal parts classic and contemporary, Westside Cowboy have quickly established themselves as one of the British indie scene’s most exciting new names.
