At last, a whole evening of humour about the menopause and other aspects of ageing as a woman. What could be more fun? Come along and recognise yourself if you’re going through it, or know someone who is or has been there.

Come if you’re young and would like a little insight into this stage of life. Or just come anyway! Five individual-minded comedians share their experiences with refreshing openness.

Sara Jägborn, a comedian originally from Värmland, jokes about her dilemmas in middle age, as a mum of teenagers and as a proud old biddy. She brings wonderful energy to the stage and involves the audience just enough in her sets. By day, she works for a government agency, which is a great source of humour. Sara also runs her own stand-up club in Stuvsta, but gigs all over the country and always looks forward to meeting a lovely audience.

Pernilla Hammargren is a madcap who goes her own way, with a playful, scatterbrained stage style, and has been running comedy clubs in the service of lesbian and queer humour ever since the country was ruled by Queen Christina. IG: @pernillyhammargren Helena Sjönvall has been performing stand-up and running clubs since 2018. A psychologist by day, a comedian by night. Love, darkness and a few hefty blows from life – and now ageing is in for a round too.

Malin Jakobsson performs comedy in rhyming Västerbotten dialect. It’s a kind of blend of broad farce, stand-up, poetry and song. She calls it Tragibuskis på vers. In her repertoire, Malin tackles subjects such as performance anxiety, worries about ageing, love troubles and other things that are part of life and the everyday. Much of it is about loneliness and living close to, yet still outside, the norm. Besides becoming the next Benny Hill, Malin’s ambition is to be a role model and a cautionary example rolled into one

Maria Heilinger-Shalan A wandering wolf from Värmland! A traveller through time and space. She has been doing stand-up for 15 years and is also a musician, an artist’s model and more. A pensioner who enjoys life and is always looking for ... you’ll find out.
