Björnkrönikan
The name “Björnkrönikan” alludes to the medieval work “Erikskrönikan”, a chronicle in verse recounting Sweden’s early medieval history.
Björnkrönikan is a rhyming text set to music that gives a thorough account of the Middle Ages across Western Europe, with a particular focus on the Nordic region and what later became Sweden.
In Björnkrönikan, you will experience musical virtuosity combined with masterful storytelling.
Joining him is a dazzling array of some of Sweden’s most accomplished musicians, including Kristin Fornfela Svensson, whose strong personality and sparkling musicianship have made her an integral part of the work.
On drums is Johan Ludvig Rask, on bass Andreas Grönberg, and on piano/horn/trumpet Fredrik Carlzon, PLUS a guest artist and choir.
Björnkrönikan sold out at Södra teatern in spring 2026, and due to high demand, the show is now moving to the historic Oscarsteatern.
Björnkrönikan is considered the most educational, most unique and funniest stage experience since the days of Eric the Holy.
