LLOYD KAUFMAN TALKS ABOUT TROMA’S ANTICS IN CANNES AND WE SCREEN THE PUNKY, NEWLY RELEASED DOCUMENTARY ABOUT TROMA’S BATTLE AGAINST THE FESTIVAL MACHINE

Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma gang head to Cannes Film Festival for what could be their final assault on the film industry. They are there to sell Return to Nuke ’Em High while also demonstrating in support of independent cinema. The police, bureaucracy and festival glamour stand in their way. Lloyd Kaufman’s daughters Lily-Hayes and Charlotte film the assault from inside the Troma camp.

Lily Hayes Kaufman makes her feature debut with an affectionate, chaotic and politically angry documentary about Troma Entertainment. The film had its world premiere at Fantasia 2025 and was then screened in the Brigadoon section at Sitges. Roger and Julie Corman are executive producers. It is All the Love You Cannes! twenty years on: more bitter, topical, but just as Tromatic. A David versus Goliath story about fake blood, the red carpet and an industry that would rather embrace superheroes than Toxic Avenger. A film about and for everyone who believes in independent cinema and in the fight for, and celebration of, free filmmaking.
