Ikebana: Kinro Kansha no Hi
Try your hand at the craft of ikebana, inspired by Kinro Kansha no Hi, a celebration of thanksgiving for the harvest.
Ikebana is a traditional Japanese way of arranging flowers that is also considered to be connected to art, philosophy and meditation. Through practising ikebana, you discover the beauty of plants in a new way and learn about yourself as well as nature, the seasons and Japanese aesthetics.
This session draws inspiration from the Japanese moon festival.
The course is led by Elisabeth Bakke, a certified teacher in the Ichiyo school.
