Samling vid Stortorgsbrunnen, Stockholm
True crime Stormaktstiden
Let us head to Stockholm’s town hall during a few years in the 17th century. The records of the town court tell us what really happened in the streets and alleyways of Stockholm during Sweden’s age as a great power.
For Stockholmers of the time, the courts were never far away. Here we meet, among others, Brita the maid, Jöns the manservant, a young boy, a murderess and a combative shoemaker. These largely unknown lives give us a kind of direct connection and a vivid picture of the city as it was in this tumultuous period. So join a walking tour of Gamla stan and get ready for some 17th-century "true crime".
Åsa Ohlén-Olsson leads the 1 hour 45 minute walk, which starts at Stortorget and ends on Riddarholmen.
