Tonbruket

The idea that a collective is greater than the sum of its individual parts is an excellent way to describe Tonbruket. The band members’ musicianship is already of a high standard.

Together, they create something greater: a sound world of their own that defies genre labels and is best and most simply described as Tonbruket.

Tonbruket consists of Dan Berglund on bass (E.S.T., Rymden), Martin Hederos on keyboards and violin (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Hederosgruppen), Johan Lindström on guitar and pedal steel (Johan Lindström Septett, Rebecka Törnqvist, Elvis Costello) and Andreas Werliin on drums (Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Fire!). On several occasions, Tonbruket has acted as Ane Brun’s backing band, both on record and on stage. The group released its debut album in 2010 and has won several Swedish Grammis awards for its albums. Tonbruket has also written music for theatre productions such as “Mannen utan minne” and “Undertiden”, which have been staged at Dramaten.
