Pressure

In the final hours before D-Day in 1944, the fate of the free world hangs by a thread. General Dwight D.

Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) and Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) face a difficult, fateful choice – to launch the massive Operation Overlord, or risk losing the war altogether.

Stagg is the RAF’s chief meteorologist, whose critical forecast of unsettled weather over the English Channel sparks a tense conflict with Allied leaders – should the invasion be postponed? Pressure is a gripping thriller about the 72 hours leading up to D-Day, when Stagg and Eisenhower must together make the decision that will change the course of history.

Andrew Scott has appeared in series such as Sherlock, Fleabag and Ripley, as well as films including 1917, Spectre and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Brendan Fraser won an Oscar for The Whale and was most recently seen in Killers of The Flower and Rental Family. Damian Lewis (Homeland, Billions) plays Field Marshal Montgomery in Pressure, and Kerry Condon appears as Eisenhower’s secretary Kay Summersby, whose judgement he valued highly. Condon was most recently seen in F1 and Train Dreams.
