Enkel, vacker, öm – En hyllning till Monica Z She was the queen of jazz, the actress with a twinkle in her eye and a voice that could be both silky smooth and as sharp as a pinprick. Monica Zetterlund – one of Sweden’s greatest and best-loved performers of all time.

Her music, humour and unique style have forever secured her place in the Swedish national soul.

In Enkel, vacker, öm - En hyllning till Monica Z, Frida Öhrn joins Carl Bagge and his trio to celebrate Monica’s life, artistry and timeless songbook. The audience is invited on a warm, swinging musical journey through Monica’s world – from collaborations with Hasse & Tage, Beppe Wolgers and Povel Ramel to the magical encounters with Bill Evans that took her all the way to New York’s jazz clubs.

It will be an evening filled with humour, presence and musical brilliance, with several of Monica’s original arrangements brought out of the archives. Arrangements written by Lasse Bagge, who played with Monica for many years – and which now find new life in the hands of his son Carl Bagge.

Enkel, vacker, öm is a loving tribute to an icon – and a reminder of just how timeless Monica Zetterlund’s voice and music remain.
