Höstens målarkurs för vuxna

A warm welcome to an inspiring painting course at Waldemarsudde this autumn! Over three creative Saturdays, you will have the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of painting in greater depth and develop your own artistic expression.

Each session begins with a guided tour of a current exhibition: Det blommande – konst och botanik, Verk från samlingarna and Den underbara färgen – Göteborgskolorismen i nytt ljus. Here, we draw inspiration from flower painting, the expressive power of colour and painting outdoors.

After the introduction, we continue in the studio and in Waldemarsudde’s beautiful park, where you will work on your painting under the guidance of an experienced art educator. We explore composition, tonal values and colour theory, among other topics, while you discover the possibilities and expressive qualities of acrylic paint. Each session also gives you time to create independently, and each day ends with a group discussion in which we reflect on the work and share experiences.

Between sessions, you will be given inspiring exercises to continue working on independently.

The course is suitable for both beginners and those with previous painting experience.

The course is led by Helena Fogelström, a freelance art educator at Waldemarsudde with extensive experience in painting.

Course materials are included in the course fee.
