Skapa din egen japanska spöklykta!

Create your own spooky Japanese ghost lantern. Chōchin'obake roughly means ‘paper lantern ghost’. It is a particular kind of Yokai said to come into being when a paper lantern gets old enough. It then comes to life, with eyes, a mouth and a long tongue.

Sometimes it can even grow legs and arms.

During this workshop, you’ll create your own Chōchin'obake to take home!

For ages 7 and over. This is a family activity, and we encourage children and adults to create together. The booking is for one person creating a lantern. Accompanying adults are welcome to help, and do not need a ticket.
