Du sotige vallon – A film about the Walloon ironworks of Uppland The Walloon ironworks were world leaders in their day and are the cradle of Sweden’s iron and steel industry.
The story is told by Louis de Geer, the 13th generation of his family to have grown up at Lövstabruk Manor. Anders Hanser also visited 15 other Walloon ironworks at different times of year with his camera, and his son Calle helped with beautiful drone footage. Lövstabruk Church houses the unique Cahman organ from the 18th century. The church organist Lukas Arvidsson has composed an atmospheric piece, Snön faller, which opens the film. The film ends with the poem Du sotige vallon by Olof Thunman.

Fabrikörerna can be shown as a supporting film: the remarkable story of two of Sweden’s most fascinating industrial museums, Oljeön in Ängelsberg and Hylténs mekaniska in Gnosjö.
