Lilla Amélie eller tecknet för regn
Lilla Amélie is an animated film about curiosity and the mysteries of life. The film is being shown on the same day as Göteborgs Filmfestival, in a unique Swedish preview!
Amélie is a little girl from Belgium who grows up in Japan. To her, the world is full of riddles – until one day she discovers the wonderful taste of white chocolate. Suddenly, her senses come alive. She begins to explore the wonders of nature, the magic of language and life’s big and small questions.
Amélie becomes close friends with the family’s housekeeper, Nishio-san. Together, they discover the feelings hidden beneath the family’s seemingly perfect surface.
A film for children and adults
Lilla Amélie eller tecknet för regn is an animated film based on Amélie Nothomb’s autobiographical novel. It follows Amélie’s life from the age of two to four and shows her unique view of Japan, people and existence. For her, everything is about life’s big questions: joy, sorrow, life and death.
The film is tender, moving and visually enchanting – a unique experience that deserves as much attention as Flow.
This is a unique opportunity to see the film before its release. The film is being shown on the same day that Göteborgs Filmfestival shows it!
