Niklas Strömstedt – Tyck OM mig

TYCK OM MIG – songs, truths and gossip! I've always found it both fun and challenging to do something more than just a straightforward concert when I get the chance to meet an audience.

Over the years, I've wrestled with temperamental slide projectors, had heated exchanges with myself in the form of a life-size cardboard cut-out, ridden in a triumphal chariot wearing gladiator armour, and I've even toured with a real therapist who gave me therapy on stage between songs.

The book “OM Niklas Strömstedt” came out in 2023. It's an autobiographical journey through both my private life and my more public career, and while working on it, I came up with the idea of making it the basis for a stage show too.

Which songs made the hairs on my arms stand on end? What did Evert Taube say when he called? How do you escape that paralysing, destructive silence, and when there's suddenly a turkey hanging under your chin – what the hell do you do then? And love – can you make sense of it?

That's where we are when the curtain rises. TYCK om mig or Tyck OM mig!
