WORKING CLOSELY TOGETHER, Duo Langborn/Wendel and Dramaten actor Hannes Meidal have developed a performance in which Selma Lagerlöf’s text meets music in several forms.

The programme moves between Baroque music, Swedish folk music and improvisation, creating a sound world that both supports and enhances the story.

Duo Langborn/Wendel consists of Catalina Langborn and Olof Wendel.

Since forming in 2015, the duo have toured extensively in Sweden and have also performed in Australia.

At today’s concert, the audience will experience Lagerlöf’s tale Bortbytingen, with Hannes Meidal’s reading and dramatic interpretation interacting with musical interpretations and innovative compositions.

Together, they bring new life to the story in a format that unites literature, performing arts and music.
