Baskery

Expect "banjopunk", "newfolk", "nordicana" – an energetic live show and spine-tinglingly sharp sibling harmonies!

Baskery are Greta, Stella and Sunniva Bondesson. Since forming in 2008, they have released five full-length albums and toured successfully around the world. Wherever the Swedish sisters go, audiences exclaim that they have never seen or heard anything like them – that Baskery have a completely unique line-up and perform with seemingly inexhaustible energy.

Baskery are all about turning music on its head, blending the directness and fearlessness of punk with the subtlety and delicacy of the singer-songwriter tradition. They have been hand-picked as a support act for Gary Clark Jr, Robbie Williams and Brandi Carlile, among others, and have performed at a long list of Swedish and major international festivals. Notable examples include Peace and Love (SE), Storsjöyran (SE), Tønder Festival (DK), Glastonbury (UK), SXSW (USA) and Calgary Folk Festival (CAN).

2023 saw the release of Baskery's fifth album of original material, ‘V: End of the Bloodline’. The record is the result of focused and inspired work in a secluded studio in the English countryside with producer Sean Lakeman (The Levellers, Billy Bragg and others). ‘V: End of the Bloodline’ offers a varied soundscape, with each track given its own unique treatment. The musical craftsmanship and vocal harmonies provide the common thread.

On ‘The Young Sessions – live to tape’, released in late 2024, Baskery interpret 11 songs by Neil Young. The record reflects the band's deep love for the Canadian's rich catalogue of songs and their instinctive understanding of his musical expression.

Baskery are:
