LEIF KRONLUNDS ORKESTER AT 80 – A NOSTALGIC MUSICAL JOURNEY WITH ANITA BERGGREN, STICKAN GRANBERG AND GUESTS.

It all began at Nalen in 1946, when Leif was engaged by Topsy Lindblom. Nalen already had its established orchestras with Putte Wickman, Dompan and Carl-Henrik Norin. But they played jazz, and Topsy had noticed that people wanted dance music. This marked the start of a career for what may be Sweden’s most legendary dance and entertainment orchestra of all time – Leif Kronlunds Orkester.

People’s parks, Skansen, cabaret shows, Nobel banquets, dance galas, luxury hotels in Paris and Monte Carlo, and more.

Leif was active as a bandleader for over 75 years, and the band is now run by his son Lars.

The concert on 4 October at Nalen is a tribute to Leif Kronlund, featuring a selection of songs and stories from the orchestra’s long career. A nostalgic trip for everyone who was there at the time, and for all of you who wish you had been. A few exclusive guest appearances are also promised.
