Donovan Woods

The concert is organised by FKP Scorpio Over the past decade, Canadian Donovan Woods has established himself as one of North America’s most admired singer-songwriters.

With a warm blend of folk, country and pop, and a rare ability to write straight from the heart, he has built an audience that listens closely to every word. His songs explore relationships, vulnerability and life’s imperfections – always with an honesty that feels intimate.

His breakthrough album “Without People” took him to bigger stages than ever before and cemented his reputation as a first-rate storyteller. Alongside this, he has been a sought-after songwriter for other artists; his songs have been recorded by the likes of Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Ben Platt, to name a few.

On his latest album, “Things Were Never Good If They’re Not Good Now”, Woods turns his gaze inwards. The record is understated, personal and uncompromisingly candid – eleven intimate songs in which he reflects on the years gone by and the changes life has brought.

On 9 October, Donovan Woods comes to Debaser Nova. An evening for those who appreciate strong melodies, intimate storytelling and songs that linger long after the final note.
