Work in progress med Hederosgruppen

Hederosgruppen are set to record a new studio album and are testing out their new material in front of an audience.

Since Martin Hederos put together his dream band, Hederosgruppen have developed into perhaps the country's best live jazz band. They are usually placed in the jazz category, but seem mainly focused on making fun music. It is so full of ideas, influences and improvisation that it is positively breathtaking.

Hederosgruppen made their debut with Storstrejk (2020) and followed it up with Ståplats (2022), the only record to date to have won Gyllene skivan, a Grammis and Manifestpriset. Their third album, Stilbrott, came out in 2025.

As before, all five band members contribute ideas and compositions. The result could have been disjointed, but this quintet have turned stylistic clashes into their own art form, once again blending the raucous with the tender across a wide range of styles. The common thread is the joy of being alive and getting to play music for an audience.
