Groovin' Feet

Groovin' Feet is a vibrant space where musicians and dancers meet through groove, improvisation and rhythmic presence. A stage experience where music, the body and spontaneity merge in real time. It all begins with rhythm.

Iiris Viljanen is a keyboardist, pianist and composer with roots in jazz and rhythm-based music. Here she moves into an electric, groove-based realm where Rhodes and other keyboards take centre stage. With her distinctive melodic world and strong stage presence, she engages with dance in an open conversation between body and sound – where swing and improvisation shape every moment.

Jonas Nermyr is a choreographer and dancer who graduated from Balettakademien Stockholm. He specialises in African-American percussive dance and body percussion, using his body as an instrument to work at the intersection of sound and movement. As a percussionist by creating rhythms and beats, and as a dancer through direct visual expression – usually without being able to say which came first, the sound or the movement.
