Livrustkammaren, Stockholm
I kunglig tjänst – drabanter, hovfröknar, lakejer
Livrustkammaren’s new, colourful exhibition I kunglig tjänst offers an insight into life at court. Among magnificent costumes, silver trumpets and portraits, you will encounter the monarchy’s servants from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The court was their workplace, and they kept the royal machinery running in everyday life and during festivities and ceremonies. In the exhibition, you will meet some of these servants through objects preserved in Livrustkammaren’s collections.
Join curator Andreas Olsson for a special guided tour of the exhibition, showcasing unique and colourful liveries, partisans, silver trumpets, the national dress and Hedvig Elisabeth Charlotta’s magnificent wedding dress.
Museum admission is included in the ticket and is valid all day.
