Kollektivet Livet, Stockholm
The Obsessed + Klastos
Doom metal legends The Obsessed come to Kollektivet Livet on 16 November as part of their 2026 European tour
Support: Klatos.
Few names carry as much weight in American doom as Scott “Wino” Weinrich. As the frontman of The Obsessed, he has helped shape an entire musical style since the late 70s – raw, psychedelic and uncompromisingly heavy. Through bands such as Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan and The Obsessed, Wino has become a cult figure far beyond the doom scene, respected by metalheads, punks and anyone who appreciates music with dirt under its fingernails.
The Obsessed formed in Maryland in the late 70s, drawing early inspiration from Black Sabbath, The Stooges and the American underground scene. With classic releases such as The Church Within and their comeback album Sacred, the band cemented their place in heavy metal history. Their latest album, Gilded Sorrow, reveals a band that still sounds hungry, aggressive and ruthlessly heavy – now as a four-piece with twin guitars and even more weight.
This is no nostalgia night. The Obsessed continue to push doom forward with the same tenacity and integrity that have always made Wino one of the genre’s most iconic figures.
