Imperial Triumphant + Knoll are coming to Kollektivet Livet on 21 November

IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT

Over the past decade, New York trio Imperial Triumphant have established themselves as one of the most distinctive bands in modern extreme metal. With their gold-coloured masks, their fascination with the city's architecture and an uncompromising musical vision, they have created a sound where avant-garde metal meets jazz, experimental music and cinematic grandeur.

The band's music consistently revolves around the same theme: New York City. Its skyscrapers, history and dark underbelly serve as both inspiration and fuel for the trio of Zachary Ezrin, Steve Blanco and Kenny Grohowski. Through albums such as Vile Luxury, Alphaville and Spirit of Ecstasy, Imperial Triumphant have pushed the boundaries of what extreme metal can sound like.

With their latest album, Goldstar, the band continue their journey through an urban fever dream where brutal metal meets art deco aesthetics, film references and unexpected musical influences. The record moves between relentless heaviness and sophisticated musicianship, and also features guest appearances from Thomas Haake (Meshuggah) and Dave Lombardo (Slayer), among others.

Imperial Triumphant are also known for their visually striking live shows, where theatre, mystique and musical precision merge into an intensely immersive experience. On 21 November, they bring their dystopian New York universe to Kollektivet Livet.

KNOLL

The evening opens with American band Knoll, who operate at the most uncompromising end of extreme music. With a sound that pushes grindcore and death metal to their absolute limits, they create something that feels as brutal as it is artistically considered. The result is music that feels more unearthed than created. Raw, relentless and utterly uncompromising!

On 21 November, an evening awaits where extreme metal meets architecture, philosophy and sheer sonic weight.
